Weighted Training Vest

weighted training vest

If you are intending to use a weighted training vest to help you lose weight and improve your body’s overall condition. Then there are certain things to keep in mind before making your purchase. By keeping in mind things we mention below it will help you to determine which of the many vests will be right for you.

When buying a weighted training vest don’t go for the heaviest one possible initially. Instead start off with the lightest weight vest you can handle and then as you feel your strength improving so you can then increase the amount of weight that these vests have in them. If you do decide to go for one that is too heavy you will do more harm to your body than good. In fact it is a good idea to choose a vest that is around 2% of what you weigh at present.

Another thing to consider is when buying such fitness equipment is to purchase one that you feel comfortable wearing. So before you make your purchase try several different types out along with the different weights. Also after making your purchase it is a good idea to wear it as much as you possibly can during the day not only when you are working out.

If you are intending to do running that involves some hills initially don’t wear the vest when doing so. Plus when you do start to wear the vest in the beginning do so without any weights in then once you start to feel comfortable with this additional weight on you can add the weights back into it.
